The Rolling Stones are a band that has become a staple of the British rock genre and the music scene in general. Even if you haven’t listened to a lot of their music, or don’t recognize their songs, it is likely that you would be able to recognize the band’s iconic tongue and lips logo designed by John Pasche. The rock legends are now celebrating their 60th anniversary, and to commemorate the time the band has been together, they have once again reimagined their iconic logo.

The tongue and lips have received plenty of makeovers since it was created back in 1971. Each time commemorating a new milestone, for the 60th anniversary tour, this tradition has not changed.
The logo has had a vibrant redesign reminiscent of tye dye t-shirts and summertime. It has an incredibly bright and exciting color palette, and still upholds the distinctive and recognizable tongue and lips design. It is quite different in comparison to many other redesigned variations of the logo that have been developed over the years.

The new logo was designed by British artist Mark Norton, who previously contributed to six of the band’s projects over the years. The new design is to help promote the upcoming European tour that the Stones have aptly named SIXTY.
