Porsche launches the parking app to make everyday life easier

Porsche Parking Plus users can now use the app's search function to find the ideal parking space by vehicle model type and at the same time save time by paying in advance contactlessly

When time is of the essence, every little way can help make life a little easier – that's why a new app comes along Porsche Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) has introduced Porsche Parking Plus, an app to simplify the parking experience.

The app is available on Apple and Android devices and provides users with a quick and easy way to find parking spaces. It compares prices, makes parking recommendations based on the brand's customer feedback, and provides contactless advanced parking reservations in thousands of locations across the United States. The app is also configured with search functions by vehicle model type and parking options.

Kjell Gruner, President & CEO of PCNA, said: “We want to offer our customers a unique ownership experience. Now Parking Plus users have a much smoother parking experience when doing a short job or spending a night on the town. "

To access Porsche Parking Plus, customers and others can download the app to create an account with their name, email address, telephone number, vehicle type and license plate number. Once an account is created, users can search for preferred parking spaces by entering either the address, location, or event name of their destination (e.g. a football game or a night at a concert) followed by the intended date and time for the reservation.

Users can narrow down parking options by facility type (i.e., valet, self-parking, covered parking) and facility features (e.g., re-entry, attended, accessible parking, EV charging, and on-site security). From there, available parking options will appear in the search results, including world-class facilities based on user reviews from other Porsche customers.

To complete a reservation, users should select the parking option of their choice, reserve parking by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, and save the ticket in their smartphone wallet for future use. Users can also save the parking reservation in their smartphone calendar and start navigation to the desired parking space directly via the app.

The technology platform is managed by the Chicago-based company. Arrive.
