Mucinex launches the third part of its public well being marketing campaign

Mucinex's "Getting Back to Normal is Up to You" campaign highlights the importance of wearing a mask by creating public art exhibits in sand sculptures
To bring to life the simple but important message and call to action, Mucinex – a competitive cold and flu brand – launched the third phase of its new public health information campaign to help Americans navigate this national health crisis.
The campaign – "Getting back to normal is up to you" – follows the first two Mucinex created in April and May: "Spread the facts, don't be afraid" and "Be a hero, be boring". Like these two previous campaigns, the brand and their creative agency McCann New York and McCann Health NY have teamed up with acclaimed artist Noma Bar, who has created a new collection of imaginative and thought-provoking images that provide information and inspiration to consumers in the United States.
Noma Bar's new collection of images brings the PSA campaign news to life in a fun and thought-provoking way. With drawings using Bar's famous "Double Entender" style, coffee mugs, cruise ships, and computer screens serve as masks, with a copy that asks, "Miss Coffee with Friends?" "Miss Cruise Vacation?" and "Do you miss the office?" It is all the more resonant to bring the campaign focus “back to normal is up to you” and the call to action to “wear a mask” to life.
Mucinex brings this campaign and its messages to life and activates it in one of the country's COVID hotspots: Florida and its beaches. To remind Florida residents and those who love a summer beach getaway that masks are stopping the spread, the brand delivers its message, "Getting back to normal is up to you" in a uniquely artful way … in the sand.
The new campaign encourages Americans to take action themselves and sheds light on the importance of wearing a mask by creating public art displays in a medium. Floridians and beach lovers alike are familiar with sand sculpture.
Local Florida sand artists have been hired to create giant mask sand sculptures on some of Florida's most popular beaches. Start on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Ft. In Lauderdale on Lago Mar Beach, the campaign will stop nationwide in August and stop at St. Petersburg Beach in the week of August 17 and at Neptune Beach in Jacksonville in Jacksonville during the week of August 24, 2020.
Mucinex will continue to bring Bar's creative imagery to life by handing out bespoke masks wearing its eye-catching artwork and encouraging people to heed the expert's advice. To accompany the activations of the sand sculptures, Bar & # 39; s art will also come to life on outdoor billboards and public places in Florida in August, conveying the message that masks do indeed save lives.
"Everything we do at Mucinex is influenced by science and data. As with our first two campaigns, we are turning to art to get our fact-based messages across," said Claudine Patel, vice president of marketing at Mucinex.
“With increasing evidence that face masks are one of the most powerful tools to slow the spread of the virus, Noma's art and these sand sculptures are helping to spread the message that it is up to all of us to work together against this global health crisis for ours To make life and our world normal again.
