Zeta Acquires Expertise Platform and Knowledge from Apptness to Strengthen Id Resolution and Omnichannel Advertising and marketing Platform

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Zeta (NYSE ZETA), a cloud-based marketing technology company empowering companies to more efficiently attract, grow, and retain customers, today announced it has acquired the technology platform and data from Apptness, a digital technology company with its own audience Engagement technology.

Founded in 2015, Apptness operates a digital survey platform that offers comprehensive capabilities to engage consumers on websites across the open web, provide marketers with proprietary insights and audiences, and provide publishers with new monetization opportunities. The acquired platform will be integrated directly into the Zeta Marketing Platform, expanding and enriching the Zeta Data Cloud with over 45 million monthly incremental high-fidelity consumer signals.

The acquisition accelerates several of the growth drivers planned as part of Zeta’s initial public offering:

Strengthens the data cloud. Adds incremental consumers to the Zeta Identity Diagram and enriches consumer profiles with more than 45 million monthly behavioral cues related to consumer lifecycle and financial metrics. Additionally, this is expected to increase Zeta’s pool of first-party tracking pixels.

Revenue efficiency. The acquired Apptness business will be included in Zeta’s platform revenue and is expected to reduce Zeta’s cost of sales as a percentage of revenue.

Increases sales capacity. The Apptness executive team includes salespeople with extensive experience in the digital marketing ecosystem.

Extends the publisher functions. The Apptness platform is served to Zeta’s network of more than 6 million websites to drive consumer engagement and increase subscription revenue.
