Developed at the intersection of health and business, this Identity Network application combines the health, transactional, and demographic data from Wunderman Thompson's Identity Network with publicly available Covid-19 data to provide a daily view of county and community-level communities to create. This first public view provides a meaningful overview for information about the recovery strategy, communication, timing (by location), and activation decisions related to programming to accelerate the recovery of the business.

The three areas of application focus on health conditions, Covid-19 and census (risk), community health support (readiness) and the impact of Covid-19 on the economy (recovery). The application operated by Human Insights was developed to inform measures at the market level and can be divided into further categories, as described below:

Risk: How much is a certain district population or postal code at risk from COVID-19 (based on the CDC guidelines)?
Readiness: How well a district is prepared for the availability of beds in hospitals and intensive care units
Recovery: How economically affected are counties, where they are now, how quickly they recover and when they become "normal" again

"Wunderman Thompson combines the full range of Watson functions and toolchain with its extensive data streams to gain unique insight into a critical aspect of recovery – in a way that protects individual privacy and data ownership," said Seth Dobrin, Chief Data Officer and Vice President, IBM.
