Weston enterprise honoured for coronavirus info service

A Weston-based security and crisis management company was nominated for an award for excellence for its efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

Based at The Hive on Beaufighter Road, Otho was recognized by the Somerset Business Awards for his regular sticky notes on Covid-19, which included a thorough breakdown of government policies throughout the pandemic.

Otho Director Tony Thompson has expressed his pride in being shortlisted for the award and the feedback the information distribution has received.

He said: “I was delighted to be shortlisted and then delighted to go through the selection process to reach the final three.

“The sticky note has grown from a few pages in the early days to 20 pages. The constant changing of rules and instructions has been a challenge for many, and because I read and study all the information issued by the government, I am seen as a reliable source for advice and guidance. “

The company was recently named the best security and crisis management consultancy in the country at another award ceremony.
