Coventry-based energy consultancy Utility Team was sold to eEngergy Group for £ 21 million.

The utility team, founded in 2009, advises companies that want to reduce costs and switch to Net Zero. The acquisition means the company will join eEnergy’s growing family of Energy Efficiency-as-a-Service (EEaas) businesses.

The Leeds corporate team of Addleshaw Goddard (AG) advised Utility Team on the transaction. The working group was led by Richard Hunt, Adam Hastings, Dave Parker, Aidan Barry and Nazaneen Ahmadi.

Hunt said, “Utility Team’s strong track record and strategic long-term relationships show that customer satisfaction is at the core of their business. Joining forces with eEnergy’s leading group of energy companies in the UK is a great opportunity for both companies and will enhance their ability to provide energy efficiency solutions to businesses at a time when it has never been more important. “

“We are delighted to have been involved in this exciting transaction for the founders and the broader management team.”
