Birmingham-based risk management consultancy Equib has strengthened its reputation as a consultant on major international projects by winning two clients with the Auckland Link Alliance and Toronto-based Metrolinx.

Equib specializes in providing risk advisory and management services for heavy civil engineering and infrastructure projects and programs.

His involvement in the Auckland Link Alliance – the largest transportation infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand – included Managing Director Bob Hide, who provided assistance with all aspects of risk management.

As part of a multidisciplinary review of the project, this involvement required collaboration with Allianz’s parent companies and global construction companies VINCI and Downer.

The Metrolinx project aims to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transport in the greater Toronto and Hamilton area.

Equib supports the project team in the transition from its investment program to its S-Bahn program.

Bob Hide, Managing Director at Equib, said, “In our role as hands-on advisor, we are helping to improve risk understanding on some of the most ambitious mega-projects ever undertaken in the UK and overseas.

“It is a real privilege to support the implementation of the Auckland Link Alliance through the multidisciplinary review initiative in partnership with VINCI and Downer. These international project wins are a real confirmation of Equib as a competent provider of strategic risk management services, and we look forward to further strengthening our international reach in the years to come. “
