Manchester-based tech company Everything Tech plans to grow sales to £ 5 million in three years after launching a new consulting line for its business.

Everything Tech is not only a traditional Managed Service Provider (MSP), but also a specialist in the implementation of Microsoft Modern Workplace. He is a multiple Microsoft Gold Partner and therefore the preferred Microsoft provider in the Northwest.

The company has invested approximately £ 200,000 in training its 30 employees in Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies.

The Microsoft Modern Workplace is a cloud-based solution for companies using the suite of Office 365 technologies and productivity applications including Azure and Power apps.

Everything Tech has seen a huge surge in technology demand during the pandemic and has established a dedicated Microsoft Modern Workplace advisory team.

Senior Technician Thomas Gwyther is Everything Tech’s first Microsoft Modern Workplace consultant. The team is expected to grow to 10 employees.

Managing Director Ruth Hall predicted the changes would result in sales growing from £ 2m to £ 5m in three years.

Hall said, “We have been working on these changes for two years, but the pandemic has accelerated the rate of change. As MSPs, all of our employees are trained in Microsoft Modern Workplace, which is what really sets us apart. This is a planned strategic move and the next phase in Everything Tech’s growth journey. It is the most significant development in the company’s history. “

Last year, the company moved to a 2,500-square-foot office in Hanover House on Charlotte Street in Manchester.

“Microsoft Modern Workplace is not about the technology, it is about the solutions,” said Hall. “It improves collaboration, productivity and the bottom line.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, we helped up to 500 homeworkers a week. Hundreds of thousands of employees have been sent home and asked to use Microsoft Teams, but only a fraction of them have learned how to use it properly.

“The potential is limitless. That’s why the Microsoft Modern Workplace is such a game changer. One of the things we will be offering are virtual master classes for clients to demonstrate the technology and its capabilities. “

Everything Tech is jointly owned by Hall, Sales and Marketing Director Lee Wrall, and Technical Director Anthony Hautin.

Wrall said, “One sentence you hear a lot right now is ‘digital transformation’. Microsoft Modern Workplace is about matching the technology with the needs of your company. For example, you could start by saying that you need technology to communicate and collaborate with your team. Then you might opt for an enterprise resource management (ERP) system and a content management system (CMS) that anyone can access from anywhere. The Microsoft Modern Workplace helps people run their business better and more efficiently. “

Wrall added that the pandemic had changed the role of the traditional managed service provider (MSP).

“MSPs like Everything Tech need to be more than a ‘break-fix’ model,” he said. “We take a holistic view of a company’s IT and implement technologies so that they can work more intelligently.

“Our job is to explain and demonstrate applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams and to integrate them into your company.”
