Scots business strategists Genoa Black take on trio to boost growth

Scottish business strategists Genoa Black have recruited a trio of experts to drive the company’s international growth.

The Edinburgh firm launched its management consulting division, Genoa Strategy, earlier this year.

You have now recruited top talent from London, Houston and Edinburgh – including former Sony Sales and Marketing Vice President Tim Stokes – to attract new clients overseas.

The new positions follow strong growth overseas, with rising profits and an international order book of £ 300,000 projected at £ 500,000 by the end of the year.

The company’s markets include the United States, Singapore, the Middle East, and Europe.

The most recent new customers include the multinationals Danfoss, Wärtsilä Voyage and the trade association Scottish Renewables.

Stokes will lead the London business strategist offering with a focus on emerging markets such as Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia.

Sara Macauley is based in Houston, where her vast banking and oil & gas experience gained in Scotland and Singapore will drive growth in the United States.

Viv Sutherland joins the team in Edinburgh as Strategy Director and brings a track record in marketing, sales and business development for companies such as Hewlett Packard, Lloyds TSB and Matalan.
