Schweppes ‘Here is to Character’ campaigns progress into sophistication

The Schweppes campaign approaches the topic of growing up with fresh eyes and shows a subtle, refined and surprising transition to maturity and sophistication.

Schweppes is the oldest brand in its beverage category – it dates back to 1783. The beverage has several characteristic properties, including its pungent and bitter-sweet taste, its bubbly texture and its long-lasting bubbles. Although these characteristics make it an acquired taste, "Here & # 39; s to Character" has been specifically designed to highlight the benefits of growth to sophistication and appreciation.

Four films show different versions of this development; sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. One protagonist is out with his father, while another leaves his friend room to speak to the girl of his dreams. As they make these decisions, we see the characters step into a nifty bar and signal their arrival in adulthood. In two other films, viewers see women opting for a carbonated Schweppes – one after an argument with their partner and the other after realizing that this is simply a better choice.
