Rob Walker leads Cognizant’s UK and Eire enterprise

Global technology consultancy Cognizant has named Rob Walker as new head for the UK and Ireland.

“I am very excited to join Cognizant and lead the UK and Ireland business,” said Walker, who moved to LY from EY where he most recently served as Consulting Markets Lead for UK&I advisory services worth over 500 million Pound was active.

During his 25-year career at EY, Walker held various management positions at EY Consulting. Walker was named a partner in 1996 and led the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry for EY Consulting in the UK and Ireland. Until 2017 he headed the risk advisory practice in the region.

His main focus has been helping clients – primarily FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 corporate clients in a variety of industries and industries – manage new technology and digital functions to improve internal control efficiency and effectiveness. Most recently, Walker was responsible for the growth of the EY Consulting market teams as Consulting Markets Lead.

He will now use his experience to lead Cognizant in the UK and Ireland, which according to Ursula Morgenstern, President for Global Growth Markets for the company, “represents one of our greatest growth opportunities”.

“We have a solid foundation in the region to build on and Rob’s leadership experience in both internal and client transformation roles will help us accelerate growth in the UK and Ireland,” she added. Morgenstern herself came to Cognizant from Atos just a month ago, where she previously worked as Head of Central Europe.

Walker is based in London and will lead all aspects of Cognizant’s regional operations, including strategic planning, commercial development, customer delivery, internal operations, thought leadership and human capital.
