Provide chain consultancy TMX companions with Fukuda and Companions

Supply chain consultancy TMX works with Fukuda and Partners

Melbourne-based business transformation consultancy TMX and Fukuda and Partners – a Tokyo-based construction and real estate company – have joined forces in a new strategic partnership to help clients cope with pandemic market changes.

The result of a merger of the Australian supply chain consulting companies TM Insight and XAct Solutions in September 2020: TMX is an end-to-end service provider in the areas of supply chain design, real estate procurement, project management and management consulting – in addition to a variety of other services with a strong pan-APAC presence.

Fukuda and Partners supports Japanese companies with a range of construction services, including building inspection, planning, monitoring and asset appreciation. The company recently worked on a successful project with TMX that encouraged the two to consider long-term collaboration.

“We previously worked with them on a supply chain network in Australia for a major Japanese fashion retailer,” said TMX CEO Travis Erridge. “Together we brought local know-how and understanding into different parts of the project and created a seamless process for the customer.”

“We would like to continue this cross-regional, localized service for our mutual customers in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia,” he added – a sign of the scope of the new partnership. TMX will gain a large Japanese customer base through the transaction, while Fukuda and partners will benefit from the former’s size in APAC.

According to a TMX statement, the partnership aims to help transform the supply chain in APAC and around the world – after the pandemic uncovered weaknesses in current operating models. The reorganization of supply chains is a complex task that requires logistical know-how and knowledge of the local real estate markets – both combined in the new offer.

“Logistics is the lifeline that connects people in everyday life, so we believe the outcome of this partnership will help build sustainable development in our society,” said Kotaro Fukuda, President and CEO of Fukuda and Partners.

TMX will help Fukuda and Partners’ Japanese clients expand beyond the domestic market to find key regional opportunities, while TMX’s APAC-wide network will gain an in-depth understanding of the Japanese real estate markets. “TMX and Fukuda both have a strong focus on logistical construction and real estate services, so we believe we can create a constructive working relationship for mutual benefit,” added Fukuda.

Helping out is a cultural synergy between the two companies – as Erridge confirms. “Our two companies complement each other in their corporate values. We both strive to deliver the best results for our customers and we trust in delivering a world-class integrated solution. This will be further strengthened by this partnership. “
