Property round-up: LPD Electrical; Caddick Construction; PJD Property; Project You; Beehive Business Centre

The independent electrical wholesaler LPD Electrical has moved into new premises in the Moss Industrial Estate. The move offers its private and commercial customers better accessibility and a significantly larger range of products.

LPD was founded in Leigh in 1997 and offers a range of electrical and cabling products to commercial, industrial and general customers. The company has two other branches in Southport, which opened in 1999, and Old Trafford, which opened in 2007.

The Leigh headquarters was previously in a much smaller unit at the back of the industrial estate, but after years of steady growth, founder Vincent Priest is driving the business forward by moving it into a very prominent and much larger 4,000 square meter unit just off St Helens Road, at the main entrance to the property.

Vincent Priest said, “Our new unit is much larger and brighter than our old unit, and it is very visible. We have seen so many people ask if we are a new business because they have never seen us. We now have a huge front counter for our customers and can display more inventory as well as a much larger range of goods in our storage area.

“This change will be really good for us and comes at an ideal time. We have a very strong local customer base, but we can also deliver across the UK. “

Moss Industrial Estate is owned by the family business George Moss & Sons, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. The industrial park is home to around 100 local companies of various sizes and sectors.

Neill Wood, Managing Director of Moss Industrial Estate, said, “This is a fantastic move for LPD Electrical and we are delighted that we have been able to support their growth. We have a long history of helping local businesses thrive, and given the difficult year we’ve all had, it’s fantastic to hear success stories like this one. “

Project yourself

New health, fitness and wellness studios have just opened at 14 The Downs, one of the most popular locations in downtown Altrincham.

Project You has rented the 1,800 m² unit on the ground floor and first floor for five years.

Owner Hannah Norburn, who has been a personal trainer and lifestyle coach in Cheshire for six years, decided after a year of lockdown that this was the best time to start the studios.

She said, “This is the ideal location for my mission to create a friendly and welcoming facility in the heart of the city for those who want their health and fitness to be a priority. The past year has obviously been a strange one and I haven’t spoken to a person whose well-being was not compromised, so I want to do everything I can to help.

“I’ve always said that the best project you will ever work on is yourself. Therefore, my mission is to help everyone who walks through the doors find and restore their health, happiness and self-confidence. “

Daniel Lee, Managing Director, Regional Property Solutions, who rented the unit on behalf of landlord EA Properties, said, “The unit was only on the market for a week with multiple viewings and the rental was agreed and completed very quickly.

“The past year and its lockdowns seem to have got people taking the step and starting their own business, and with a more hopeful outlook and focused approach, they don’t stay around. Altrincham has attracted 15 new high street stores since the second lockdown began in November. We wish you all the best.”
