A planning, environmental and design consultancy has relocated its East Midlands office to Derby’s Pride Park as part of its regional growth strategy.

Heatons has moved from its Keyworth, Nottinghamshire office to 3,000 m² office space in The Arc on Mallard Way.

Heatons was founded in 1999 and also has offices in the West Midlands and the North West. The company’s team of planners, landscape architects and ecologists provides planning and environmental impact support for a range of development projects including housing, industry, infrastructure, commercial minerals and waste management.

Heatons’ Spencer Warren said, “With growth in recent years, Heatons was keen to secure a larger office in a location that would serve existing customers and employees well.

“Moving to The Arc offers opportunities to expand the customer base and build on established relationships in the East Midlands. The plan for the next few years is for continued growth and the move to The Arc will make it easier.”

Chris Wright, Director of OMEETO, secured the deal on behalf of the landlord of the building.

He said: “Since the first impact of the pandemic, the Derby office market has picked up significantly and is expected to continue.” This is especially true of Pride Park, the city’s premier business location with excellent communications links.

“Our bespoke digital marketing resources have been invaluable in ensuring timely and successful rentals for our clients and in providing Heatons with the accommodation they need.”

“I was particularly pleased to be marketing this office property on the first floor, having previously received the lease to bring commercial banks into The Arc’s ground floor.

Heatons was represented by Selloway Property Consultants.
