Panasonic welcomes Olympic figure skater Nathan Chen to the team

The two-time world champion and winner of the last five national figure skating championships in the USA supports the Panasonic team in their mission to empower and inspire young people

Panasonic announced that Nathan Chen, an Olympic bronze medalist, two-time world champion, and five-time American figure skating champion, will join the company to empower youngsters to dream big, work hard, and achieve their goals.

Chen has been an undefeated skater since the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. In January, he won a historic five-peat victory at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and is currently preparing for the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. In addition to his impressive figure skating career, he is studying data science and statistics at Yale University.

“I am honored to join the Panasonic team and be part of a movement dedicated to progress and purposeful action,” said Chen. “Panasonic has been developing technologies that move the world forward for over a century and I am proud to work with the company to continue making impact and creating positive change.”

Chen believes that technology is an art form that, much like figure skating, can be used to inspire and make a difference in the community and beyond, which makes it the perfect match for Team Panasonic.
