Oldham entrepreneurs and startups looking to grow their business through online tools and channels can get the help they need thanks to the return of a program from GC Business Growth Hub.

Business on the Go is fully funded for eligible businesses that have either not yet formed or are in their early years of trading and want to get a grip on the challenges and opportunities of e-commerce.

There are only limited places available until June 9th for companies to register their interest: businessgrowthhub.com/business-on-the-go

Run by the GC Business Growth Hub, part of The Growth Company and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the program invites companies to attend face-to-face workshops, being run by the hub for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.

Business on the Go will be delivered in a COVID safe manner to a brand new venue in the heart of Manchester starting in May.

Business on the Go is an opportunity to learn from the best.

The advisory team consists of Chris Bate, who has more than 30 years of experience in leading, global corporate and consulting areas in highly competitive sports, fashion, footwear and apparel markets for brands such as Nike, Wolverine, French Connection and Under Armor.

Business on the Go provides practical advice and business fundamentals, and ensures that participants consider the technical aspects necessary to successfully start and grow an online business.

Hilary Centeleghe, director of startup and growth at GC Business Growth Hub, said, “This is a great opportunity for business startups to learn from other aspiring entrepreneurs who are building their online empires.

“In addition, our consultants will be on site to offer intensive, bespoke one-on-one support through joint workshops and action learning that will help participants improve their skills and build their business the right way.”

The program will also include “Fireside Chats” with successful founders, where attendees will have the opportunity to hear from founders of established online retail businesses, understand their journey, and ask questions about what they have learned.

Business on the Go is carried out in collaboration with Bruntwood Works.

This and other GC Business Growth Hub projects are co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the GM Business Growth Hub project, which aims to help ambitious SMB businesses grow and increase employment in Greater Manchester.

The hub is also supported by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Local Authorities.
