With its latest KitKat V. Plant dreams come true

KitKat V from Nestlé offers the perfect balance between crispy waffles and delicate chocolate that people know and love

After long anticipation, Nestle finally comes true with the introduction of plant dreams KitKat Nestle .

The company’s new vegan version of the company’s KitKat will hit shelves in the UK, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania from mid-June. Other countries will follow soon, including Australia and Brazil. KitKat V will be available through the KitKat Chocolatory and select retailers.

Nestlé’s KitKat V lives up to the hype and has already surprised some happy KitKat fans who were able to try the vegan delicacy. It still strikes the perfect balance between crispy waffle and tender chocolate that people know and love.

KitKat V was developed by chocolate experts at Nestlé’s confectionery research and development center in York, UK, the original home of KitKat. By combining Nestlé’s expertise in chocolate innovation and dairy-free alternatives, they managed to mix the smooth chocolate perfectly with plant-based ingredients. This has resulted in a great tasting, no compromise vegan version of KitKat.

Louise Barrett, director of the Nestlé Confectionery Product Technology Center in York, says: “Our challenge in creating a vegan-friendly KitKat was to recreate this iconic product using plant-based alternatives. To achieve this, we worked very hard to find the right balance between the milk alternative and cocoa. The result is vegan chocolate that we are very proud of and I hope all KitKat fans will love it as much as we do. “

KitKat V is vegan certified and consists of 100% sustainable cocoa, which is obtained through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in cooperation with the Rainforest Alliance. The milk in the original KitKat is replaced with a rice-based alternative that gives the perfect texture and taste.

Alexander von Maillot, Head of Confectionery at Nestlé, says: “KitKat continues to surprise people with new flavors and ingredients. One of the most common requests we see on social media is a vegan KitKat, so we’re excited to make that wish come true. This is for everyone who wants something more herbal in their life when they treat themselves to something! “

Surveys around the world have shown that people are interested in exploring more plant-based foods across different categories. Nestlé is helping them adopt a more plant-based diet, with options for its wide range of foods and beverages.

The company has already launched cross-category plant-based alternatives to dairy products made from rice, oats, soy, coconut, peas and almonds. Examples include dairy-free ice cream, coffee creamer, rice and oat-based drinks, pea-based drinks, plant-based cappuccino and latte, a vegan condensed milk alternative, and a range of dairy-free cheeses to complement plant-based burgers.
