Nespresso X Reforestation | World Branding Discussion board

Nespresso, climate, change, afforestation, trees,

Nespresso celebrates Climate Week from With a commitment to plant a tree every time someone sees their latest ad. The campaign is now running across the UK and has had a great response so far.

With “This Ad Plants Trees”, the coffee brand offers an answer to deforestation. Every single view means a donation to help finance the planting of trees. As a result of this campaign, at least 136,217 trees are expected to be planted.

As part of the broader “Everyday Acts” initiative, the Green Thumb campaign works hand in hand with Climate Week to highlight the everyday actions consumers take to protect the planet. This, in turn, shows that we can actually make the changes necessary to curb climate change. Taking care of our world is important, planting trees is a great first step.

The campaign is carried out in collaboration with the adtech company Good-Loop and covers all costs related to growing seedlings, transporting seedlings, planting, guarding and ongoing protection. To increase the number of hits, a live counter tracks the views in real time, so viewers can see exactly how many trees should be planted after the campaign has ended.

Amy Williams, Managing Director and Founder of Good-Loop, said, “Tackling the climate crisis will require an unprecedented level of collaboration and what I love most about this campaign is that Nespresso is planting trees in partnership with its consumers.”

“Every time someone chooses to work with their brand, there is a moment of collaborative effort where the value of that time and attention is used to fund tree planting around the world,” she added.
