Nationwide constructing and undertaking consultancy Paragon launches Leeds workplace

National building and project consultancy Paragon launches Leeds office

National independent construction and project consultancy Paragon has opened an office in Leeds city center as the company continues its targeted expansion strategy in the UK.

Paragon’s new office is located on Avenue HQ on East Parade and is headed by director and partner Robert Simpson, who has been with the consulting firm for six years and lives in Leeds.

Paragon was founded in 2009 and has around 140 employees and offices in London, Esher, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh. The consultancy has been based in Manchester since 2015, while its Bristol and Edinburgh offices both opened as part of its 2018 Nationwide Growth Plan.

Prior to joining Paragon, Robert was an Associate Director in the Leeds office of global real estate services company Colliers International for 12 years. Robert was assisted in the new office by Tom Pitt, a senior building surveyor who was also employed by Paragon six years ago.

They are assisted in the expansion of the Leeds office by the head of Paragon’s Manchester office, director and shareholder James Onions, who is also based in Leeds. The consultancy expects to fill a range of building survey, project management and cost management roles as the Leeds office expands.

The office is opening in direct response to growing customer demand and new opportunities for Paragon across Yorkshire. The consulting firm’s clients in the region include Legal & General, Select Group, APAM, Landsec, Northwood and Kinrise.

Commenting on the opening of the office, Robert Simpson said, “Our work in Yorkshire has grown in both volume and scope, so it makes perfect sense for us to open an office in Leeds.

“We have built a solid reputation for providing straightforward and straightforward commercial advice, so we will continue to grow our business in Yorkshire on this solid foundation.”

Projects advised by Paragon in Yorkshire include the recently completed $ 7.5 million.

The consultancy continues to provide project and expense management services to developer and landlord Landsec for several of its assets, including the Trinity Leeds shopping center.

In addition, Paragon acted as project manager for the recently completed 376-bed, 18-story Vita Student project at St Albans Place in Leeds.

Robert continued: “With an office in Leeds, we can offer our existing customers in the region even more services while identifying and securing additional business opportunities.

“As a company, we have built up a number of new in-house services in recent years, in particular the expansion of our energy and sustainability offerings, which we will develop together with our customers on site.

“As someone who lives in Leeds, it’s great to be able to open an office in my hometown and continue to build Paragon’s connections with funders, developers and intermediaries operating in Yorkshire and beyond.”

Paragon’s clients can access all of the consulting company’s expertise through the Leeds office. This includes building surveying, project management, cost management, project monitoring, sustainability, M&E advice, environmental advice, user service, drone service, dispute resolution support, lighting rights and party wall services.
