Mace has brought on Steve Gee from Aecom to lead the expense advisory business in the Middle East and North Africa.

Gee spent 16 years at Aecom, where he served as vice president of expense advice in the same two regions. He originally joined the company when it was known as Davis Langdon by Gardiner & Theobald in 2005.

He has spent the years in the Middle East since then and will be based in Mace’s Dubai office for his new role on the company’s broader UAE team of more than 450 people that Gee has been tasked with growing.

Earlier this year, Mace announced that it would add an additional 1,300 employees to its consulting department in order to grow the division to a turnover of £ 500 million within five years. The current turnover is around GBP 350 million.

Led by Jason Millett, the company currently employs approximately 2,700 people in more than 30 offices in the UK and abroad. According to the plan, the number of employees in his advisory department will increase to 4,000 by 2026 UNITED KINGDOM.

Millett said he wanted to add to the company’s workload overseas, targeting North America and the Asia-Pacific region in particular.
