Lewis Garrad leads Mercer’s Profession enterprise in Singapore

Lewis Garrad heads Mercer's Singapore careers business

Global HR consulting firm Mercer has promoted Lewis Garrad to lead its Singapore careers department.

Lewis Garrad has been with the consulting firm throughout his career and joined the UK firm in 2006 after graduating from the University of Nottingham. Garrad spent the first decade with the employee consultancy Sirota Consulting and expanded the position of the company’s Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region. At Mercer, he moved to Sirota Consulting at the end of 2016.

Garrad is based in Singapore and has held various management positions at Mercer in recent years, including Employee Experience Leader, International and Career Solutions Leader for Singapore. In these roles, he managed the rapid scaling of the company’s employee loyalty offers and employee survey solutions in the region and in other growth markets.

On January 1, 2021, he was appointed head of one of Mercer’s main divisions in Singapore. In his new role, he will lead and grow Mercer’s Singapore career business and oversee a team of over 50 Rewards and Talent Consultants. This team helps clients plan future workforce models, promote digital transformation and redesign workplaces, and identify skills and abilities for current and future needs.

Mercer’s career business also engages in helping companies promote healthy and productive cultures by incorporating employee experiences and developing competitive compensation and incentive policies.

Garrad is passionate about helping executives and hiring managers develop employee practices that improve business performance and has worked with a wide variety of clients from a variety of industries, including Shell, Rolls-Royce, Skype, Solvay, Tullow Oil, National Grid, Westfield and Ahold Delhaize and TNT as well as a number of others.

In this role, Garrad is a member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT) in Singapore.
