The September webinar will outline plans to assist Lanarkshire women in the pre-start, legacy and growth stages of running a business.

It will also give participants the opportunity to share experiences, provide input and play a direct role in shaping the future content of LWIB activities.

The keynote speaker of the event, Christine Penman, will deal with the topic of change. Seven years ago, Christine of East Kilbride quit her more than 30-year corporate career to start her own executive development consultancy, The One Percent.

“We’re going to look at the effects of changes on our brain, what it can look like at times, the endless emotions it creates, and why we all react differently.”

Business Gateway Lanarkshire Advisor Caroline Wylie will host a session on Business Gateway’s support services.

This is open to people considering starting a business, people with a recently launched business, and businesses looking to grow in the months ahead.

Caroline has over a decade of experience starting and growing her own business significantly and has the ability to provide clients with a mix of practical and theoretical understanding.

Yvonne Weir, Corporate Manager at North Lanarkshire Council said, “This event will allow Lanarkshire women to meet again, network and reflect.

“It’s been a tough year and a half, and an important goal of the session is to create space for women to hear, learn and be inspired by the experiences of others. “

LWIB is a partnership initiative made up of the North and South Lanarkshire Councils, Business Gateway Lanarkshire, New College Lanarkshire and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
