Key appointment for Sanderson Weatherall as it opens development consultancy in region

State-owned land surveying and real estate consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has expanded its offering in the Southwest with the appointment of development consultant Alastair McLeod.

Alastair has more than 13 years of experience as a Senior Associate Director on BNP Paribas’ development teams in Southampton and Bristol before becoming self-employed.

By working with landowners and developers at all stages of the development cycle, Alastair complements Sanderson Weatherall’s existing appraisal, planning, construction advisory, and restructuring and remediation teams in its south-west Bristol office.

He started out in his new role and is already working on projects such as approved and strategic land sales in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset.

Alastair said: “I found this to be a really exciting opportunity to join an ambitious SME owned and run by real estate professionals. Sanderson Weatherall is growing as a brand in Bristol and I look forward to being part of it. ”

Sanderson Weatherall Bristol Office Director Mark Sheridan added, “Development consulting has been identified as a key area for growth and with existing teams in other regions it is great to have a presence in Bristol now.

“Alastair has experience and a fantastic reputation that will undoubtedly make him a great addition to our growing team.”

Sanderson Weatherall provides a full range of real estate, machinery and business equipment services to retail, residential, office, industrial, recreational, road, healthcare, public sectors and third parties.

It employs more than 200 people in offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Teesside and York.
