KPMG in Bahrain has appointed Jeyapriya Partiban – the head of its risk advisory practice – as national advisory director. She succeeds Narayanan Ramachandran.

Jeyapriya Partiban officially assumed her new role on Thursday, bringing more than two decades of multifaceted experience in the Big Four company to the position. During that time, she led teams across the consulting department and delivered assignments for companies in over 25 countries including Bahrain, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the US.

Partiban is currently the head of KPMG’s risk advisory practice in the UK and a member of the company’s board of directors. Partiban now takes on responsibility for the three main business areas within consulting: management consulting (strategy, people & change, IT consulting, etc.), risk consulting (risk management, internal auditing, forensics, etc.) and deal advisory (corporate finance, M&A, restructuring etc.).

“Companies today face major challenges in the face of the rapidly changing economic landscape. Our consultants help clients with growth, performance and governance and deal pragmatically and sustainably with these uncertainties, ”said Partiban.

In addition to taking over the advisory management, Partiban will continue to hold their current functions and support customers in their specialist areas. She focuses on internal auditing, corporate governance consulting, corporate risk management, forensic and financial risk management services with a focus on projects in the financial services, government, food and beverage, travel and hospitality, energy, telecommunications, transportation and real estate sectors.

KPMG has a long legacy in Bahrain. The company was founded in 1968 by two university friends and has since grown to a team of over 300 professionals. This makes it one of the largest auditing and consulting firms in the country.

Board members of KPMG in Bahrain are Jamal Fakhro (Managing Partner), Jaafar AlQubaiti (Head of Auditing), Jalil AlAali (Head of Financial Services), Jeyapriya Partiban (Head of Advisory) and Narayanan Ramachandran (Board Member).
