JKEDI to start short term certificate courses in digital marketing, basics of entrepreneurship

JAMMU: The first series of two short-term digital marketing and entrepreneurship 101 certificate courses organized by Jammu and the Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) was completed here on the Bari Brahmana campus today.

The aim of the course was to provide a platform for young professionals and emerging entrepreneurs to acquire the skills and abilities necessary for their entrepreneurial journey. The aim was to create an industry-ready workforce who can use digital platforms to expand their careers and face the changing demands of national and global markets.

At the award ceremony, JKEDI Director, GM Dar said, “This program provided a platform for young and enthusiastic people to discuss their ideas and knowledge and bring their lives to a meaningful end. J&K has enormous potential and needs to be harnessed so that entrepreneurs and professionals like you can play a constructive role and make a positive contribution to society. “The director also informed attendees that the institute is working with the best centers and organizations in the country to provide larger platforms for aspiring entrepreneurs. One such collaboration is with We Hub, the Telangana government, where the institute will provide pre-incubation services to J & K’s aspiring entrepreneurs. He also assured participants that the institute would organize many more programs of this type in the future.

The sessions mainly focused on digital marketing channels, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing in the Digital Marketing course. The Entrepreneurship 101 course focused on generating business ideas, identifying and analyzing ecosystems, developing business models, networking and negotiating, executing and maintaining business plans.

A total of 25 candidates completed the courses. The candidates came from a variety of backgrounds such as business owners, students, professionals and emerging entrepreneurs. “This course from JKEDI helped me improve my skills and gave me direction to achieve my goals and make a better living. I believe a connection has developed with the participants and the institute that will go a long way, ”said Nishit Sharma, a participant in the Digital Marketing course. Another participant in the Entrepreneurship 101 course, Rijul Magotra, said the program gave him the confidence to start his own business.

Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan, Sr. Faculty, Vishal Ray, Faculty, Irtif Lone, Incubation Manager, Arsalan Ashraf, Executive Manager IT and all staff and faculty members of the institute attended the award ceremony. The institute will soon start the next course on the Pampore campus in Kashmir and will also open registrations for Jammu shortly.
