Huggies publicizes partnership with Meijer to assist NICU households

Huggies announces partnership with Meijer to support NICU families

Huggies will donate up to $ 50,000 to the nonprofit Hand to Hold as part of its HelpingHugs campaign

Hugs and Meijer work together to support NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) families in honor of NICU Awareness Month this September through Hand to hold, a national non-profit organization that provides personalized care to parents in the neonatal intensive care unit.

For every box of the diaper brand Little Snugglers or Little Movers diapers purchased in store or on Meijer.com by September 11, 2021, Huggies will donate US $ 1 / £ 0.73 to Hand to Hold, up to US $ 50,000 / £ 36,5,000 total.

“Huggies’ mission is to help families cope with the unknowns of infancy, which can sometimes include the neonatal intensive care unit,” said Sarah Inbau, Huggies North America brand manager and mother of the neonatal intensive care unit. “We are proud to be a national sponsor of Hand to Hold, and we are honored that Meijer is helping to support NICU families across the country and raise awareness of resources that are available to NICU families Hand to hold are available. “

One in seven babies born in the United States spends time in neonatal intensive care, and Huggies has a long history of helping parents and their babies in neonatal intensive care. The brand has partnered with nurses and parents on NICU to create a special line of diapers and wipes for NICU babies and their incredibly sensitive skin.

“As a family business, supporting families in our communities is very important to us, especially during some of the toughest moments of parenting,” said Matt Campbell, Baby Consumables Buyer at Meijer. “We’re excited to partner with Huggies on a shared mission to help families in the neonatal intensive care unit.”

With the support of Huggies, Hand to Hold launched an innovative mobile app earlier this year that provides critical emotional and psychological support to parents in the intensive care unit. Hand to Hold provides personal support before, during, and after a stay in the neonatal intensive care unit to ensure that all families thrive in the neonatal intensive care unit.
