A statement from the club said: “Following today’s announcement regarding the PURE Business Group, we would like to reassure supporters regarding the financial future of Huddersfield Town.

“PURE Group, former shirt sponsor PURE Legal Limited and the other publicly traded companies are led by Huddersfield Town Chairman Phil Hodgkinson. It was announced yesterday that these nine companies have been put under management.

“Mr. Hodgkinson holds 75 percent of the club’s shares through PURE Sports Consultancy. This company is not part of this promotion and as such is legally unaffected.

“Our board of directors would like to assure the Town fans that the club can meet its financial obligations in the short, medium and long term.
