The chef donates $ 100,000 / £ 80,653.50 to Feeding America, enables customer donations and grants exclusive discounts to frontline employees

At home cook, a leader in food solutions, today announced the launch of its Home Chef Helps initiative to support hunger relief efforts and help communities in need during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The newly created “Home Chef Helps” initiative is an extension of the brand's ongoing commitment to alleviating hunger in local communities, where it operates through regular donations from local food banks.

The chef donates $ 100,000 / £ 80,653.50 Feed America, the country's largest hunger relief organization, to help food banks help people affected by the public health crisis. This contribution to Feeding America's COVID 19 Response Fund will be distributed to communities where the need is greatest.

"In this time of increasing need, your support will make a difference for our neighbors who have difficulty putting food on their table."

Feeding America is committed to helping communities and people who are hungry across America. As demand increases due to the COVID-19 crisis, food banks are responding with what they do best – to feed people in need. Donations help Feeding America to be there for people in need in times of uncertainty.

The chef also asks his customers to support these efforts. Customers who skip their Home Chef order for a week can donate to raise additional funds for Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund. In addition, Home Chef encourages all customers to donate via email, homechef.com and social contributions.
