HealthEdge and World Software program Consultancy, ThoughtWorks, Companion to Construct a World Growth Heart

BENGALURU, India – (BUSINESS WIRE) – HealthEdge®, the health insurance industry’s first digital nervous system to provide automation and seamless connectivity between all parts of a payer’s administrative and clinical systems, announced a partnership with ThoughtWorks to create a center of excellence for all development activities.

ThoughtWorks will work closely with HealthEdge to create a world-class team that will double in size by more than 100 people by the end of 2021. The aim is to scale HealthEdge’s procurement, capacity building and training processes so that technical executives in India are effectively on board. In April 2020, HealthEdge became a Blackstone portfolio company and added two more products before the end of 2020, Burgess Source®, a premier payment integrity application, and GuidingCare® from Altruista, the leader in care management, to complement the next generation core management system. The company has earned a place in the 2021 Top Workplaces USA. In addition, HealthEdge received the National Elite Winner in Employee Achievement and Recognition for the best and smartest companies of 2020, Top 101 in the Nation®, making it the top employer of choice.

“We are building a great company that will be the epicenter for healthcare transactions,” said Steve Krupa, CEO of HealthEdge. “When employees come to HealthEdge, they join a progressive, flexible, world-class team that prides itself on the core principles of customer value, first-class thinking, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement and excellence. Our India-based company is at a point of extreme acceleration. With the help of ThoughtWorks, we aim to be the leading employer for India’s best talent. ”

“HealthEdge recognizes the long-term benefits of building high-performing teams and we are pleased that they have selected ThoughtWorks as their partner as they aggressively scale their business,” said Sameer Soman, general manager of ThoughtWorks in India. “We look forward to enhancing the technical mindset and culture of excellence within HealthEdge.”

As an innovative employer, HealthEdge is characterized by a collaborative environment in which teamwork and excellent performance form the basis. In addition to great performance and flexible work arrangements, HealthEdge provides an environment in which employees grow, are challenged and have the opportunity to change the face of healthcare with the help of technology.

The planned center of excellence will include multiple functions including development, product management, technical processes and DevOps.
