Giphy joins Fb firm as a part of the Instagram crew
Giphy, a leading provider of visual expression and creation, joins the Facebook Companies As part of the Instagram Team. Giphy makes everyday conversations more entertaining. Therefore, the company plans to further integrate its GIF library into Instagram and other apps so that people can find exactly the right way to express themselves.
Many people in the Facebook community already know and love Giphy. In fact, 50% of Giphy's traffic comes from the Facebook app family, half of it from Instagram alone. Merging Instagram and Giphy makes it easier for people to find the perfect gifs and stickers in Stories and Direct. Both Facebook services are great supporters of the creator and artist community, and will continue to do so. Together, it would make it easier for everyone to create their work and share it with the world.
The Facebook company has been using Giphy's API not only on Instagram for years, but also in the Facebook app. delivery boy and Whatsapp. Giphy will continue to operate its library (including its global content collection) and looks forward to continuing to invest in its technology and relationships with content and API partners. Users can still upload gifs. Developers and API partners still have the same access to Giphy's APIs. Giphy's creative community will continue to be able to create great content.
Gifs and stickers give people meaningful and creative ways to express themselves.
