Fishawack Well being acquires pharma consultancy PRMA Consulting

Fishawack Health takes over the pharmaceutical consultancy PRMA Consulting

The healthcare communications company Fishawack Health has taken over the research consultancy PRMA Consulting. The company specializes in research into market access and health economic outcomes and will strengthen Fishawack’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.

Founded in 2006, PRMA Consulting is an independent, specialist consulting firm that solves some of the most difficult market access problems that pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies face. The British consultancy, headquartered in Fleet, Hampshire, offers clients strategic market access, proof of value proposition, and contract and payer strategies, among other things.

As the healthcare market continues to attract investment amid the ongoing pandemic, PRMA has attracted the advances made by life science commercialization specialist Fishawack Health. The UK-based company acquired PRMA after being impressed with its global market access and research into health economics outcomes. Fishawack was founded in 2001 and is now operated by more than 950 professionals who host strategic, creative and scientific experts around the world.

The move strengthens Fishawack’s global presence and expands its own locations to include offices in Europe, Asia and the USA. At the same time, it strengthens Fishawack’s strategic offering by adding in-depth expertise in the Asia-Pacific and European markets to complement the company’s existing North American market access offering – and helping it be one of the leading market access and Health and economic outcomes of the industry to offer research capabilities.

“We are very excited to welcome PRMA Consulting to our group – our third acquisition in 2021,” said Oliver Dennis, Co-Founder and CEO of Fishawack Health. “PRMA Consulting has extensive expertise in global market access, HEOR and the disease sector and is therefore an important addition to our Consulting division.”

At the same time, the PRMA deal offers a great opportunity to expand its own customer base. PRMA’s portfolio includes cloud-based digital applications designed to help customers unlock and optimize product value. Fishawack has announced that it will make these applications available to all existing customers.

David Sykes, founding partner at PRMA Consulting, stated, “We are excited to have the opportunity to join Fishawack Health and build the world’s leading group on values, evidence and access. We were drawn to our shared culture and values and the ability to leverage existing complementary Fishawack Health resources to provide our customers with an even better experience. “

The news comes just months after Kin + Carta announced it had also sold its health communications business, Hive, to Fishawack Medical Communications and Fishawack Midco US Holdings. The Hive Health Group consists of two brands – Hive Health and Pollen Health – each of which works with clients across the life science industry.
