Livonia-based leading human behavior and analytics consultancy Escalent announced that it has acquired Grail Insights from NewQuest Capital Partners.

The two companies form a customer base that includes many of the world’s leading brands in industries such as automotive and mobility, consumer goods, energy, financial services, healthcare, technology and telecommunications.

“In a world marked by upheaval – where information, analysis, knowledge or guidance is not always enough – Escalent and Grail have teamed up to drive insights through implementation,” says Melissa Sauter, CEO of Escalent. “We work side by side with our customers as an extension of their team, transferring insights across the business continuum to streamline processes and accelerate productivity. The result is smarter decisions and better performance. “

The company now has a global presence of 850 consultants, researchers, data scientists, technologists and operations experts in 11 countries. Customers can expect a seamless transition and will continue to work with the same teams with a stronger company behind them. Gral’s office locations will remain unchanged and the name will not be changed immediately, however it will be switched to the Escalent brand in the coming months.

Grail is a strategic insights consultancy founded by Monitor Group in 2006 that helps clients seize opportunities and respond decisively to market changes by applying insights to every aspect of their business. Grail is represented in the United States and Canada, China, India, Ireland, Italy, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

“This acquisition is a great asset to both Escalent and Grail employees,” said Rob Stone of Grail, who will become Escalent’s chief strategy officer. “Our cultures are closely coordinated and everyone is focused on helping customers get closer to their customers and increase productivity. Employees will be able to offer more comprehensive solutions that will further their professional growth while helping customers solve their complex business and marketing challenges. “
