EPM Group acquires transportation software business

EPM Group, supported by Literacy Capital, has completed the acquisition of a Queen’s Award-winning transportation software company.

3Squared, based in Sheffield, aims to make the transport sector safer, greener and more efficient through digitization.

The company’s leading RailSmart suite of software applications is designed to help passengers, freight carriers and rail industry suppliers increase productivity while reducing risk and costs.

EPM, founded in 1986 and based in Bromsgrove, provides software that helps bus operators and transportation authorities reduce operating costs, improve financial performance, and better serve their customers. It is also a BSOG (Bus Service Operators Grant) auditor and franchise reimbursement consultant.

Ian Churchill, CEO of EPM, said: “The acquisition of 3Squared will support our focus on integrated transportation while diversifying our activities in the rail sector.”
