Chris Smith has joined KPMG as a new director on his tax team to improve the specialty offering in Scotland.

He will lead a team of dedicated personal tax advisors focused on personal wealth and shareholder tax advice, helping clients grow and protect their wealth during turbulent times.

Chris has more than 11 years of experience and comes to KPMG from the medium-sized company Grant Thornton.

Chris said, “In the months and years to come, personal tax advice will be more important than ever.

“Political leaders around the world have signaled that capital tax reforms will be an integral part of post-Covid recovery plans, which of course will affect many of our customers.

“Possible capital gains tax increases, the introduction of a wealth tax and the increased movement of people as we move away from the old ‘office-based’ culture will create new opportunities and problems for our customers.”

Hydrogen, Scotland’s largest specialist social media agency, has named Nicky Logue as managing director in a series of management changes.

With the new position, she will take over the daily management of the growing company and lead a newly created senior management team.

David Natusch

Nicky previously served as Strategy Director, leading the Pay, Insights and Marketing departments at Hydrogen, developing customer-centric market strategies for customers.

With this move, company founders Mike Scott and Daniel Rae are moving to group-wide functions, as Hydrogen wants to expand its portfolio. Mike will assume the role of CEO and Chief Innovation Officer from Daniel.

The experienced site and project manager David Natusch has been appointed project manager for the leading development company Calma Group in Glasgow.He has extensive experience in construction management and has headed his own project management consultancy Staunch Projects since 1999. Last year he moved to the Calma Group based in Shawfield. David has been a construction project manager for the past nine months and has overseen several million dollar new developments.
