The initiative says it is helping business owners and executives identify new opportunities and achieve strategic goals with a program that includes peer advisory boards, one-on-one business coaching, workshops, expert speakers, strategic business tools, and “invaluable” TAB connections .

The boards of directors meet monthly with the help of a moderator, and Scottish digital marketing agency Moment says, for example, that a 400 percent increase in sales is a direct result of membership.

The local TAB in the Aberdeen area is headed by Helen Mill and Chris Rigby, who both previously held senior positions at Robert Gordon University, and Jonathan Smith, former manager of a global energy company and winner of the Inspirational Mentor of the Year at 2019 Elevator Awards.

Andrew Todd, formerly Senior Vice President of energy research and consulting firm Wood Mackenzie, is responsible for the two boards of directors in Edinburgh. “The pandemic has put incredible pressure on the shoulders of business leaders and I want to work with them to find solutions,” he said of his work with TAB.

Steve Cook, former Head of Retail Business for Western Europe at HMD Global, heads Edinburgh West while Campbell Ure leads the three boards of directors in the Glasgow area, leveraging his track record of developing and leading teams.
