Derby-based engineering firm SCITEK Consultants has received a seven-figure financing package from NatWest to create purpose-built offices and a research facility.

SCITEK specializes in the research and development of a wide range of engineering services. Customers come from the aerospace, defense, power generation and automotive industries. NatWest funds were used to build the new offices and a factory research facility on Victory Road, Derby, after the business outgrew its former premises.

Construction of the 13,000 square meter space was completed in December 2020 and the company officially opened this month after easing COVID-19 restrictions.

The new location increases the company’s capacities and capabilities to handle larger engineering projects as well as to expand its in-house test facilities. It will also allow SCITEK to further diversify its work in the renewable energy sector; The company is already working on a number of research projects on hydrogen.

1997 by Dr. Founded by Marios Christodoulou, SCITEK employs 24 people. In order to realize its growth plans, the company plans to create four more jobs over the next two years.
