Rodgers Leask engineering firm expands with the opening of its fourth UK office in Nottingham.

The company – which was initially founded in a single office in Derby in 1984 and now offers construction, civil, geo-environmental and transport planning services – is preparing to open the new office at the end of this month (October).

The Nottingham Lace Market office will join the company’s Derby, Birmingham and Bristol offices and will be led by Divisional Director Chris Pollett and Associate Director Peter Sparham.

Pollett, who will lead the structural engineering of the office, said, “This is a great opportunity to grow and expand the business, building on the great work of the other Rodgers Leask offices across the UK.

“The Midlands are the birthplace of the company and it is an opportunity not only to better support our existing customers in the region, but also to grow the company by reaching new customers. I am looking forward to managing the new office and can hardly wait to get started. “

Civil Engineer Sparham added, “The expansion is part of a plan to grow the business on a sustainable basis and with our existing client business in the East Midlands it seemed right to open an office in Nottingham. The business has been very resilient over the past 18 months, so this is a great time to move the company forward. “

Paul Spencer, Managing Director of Rodgers Leask, said: “We have had great success working on large projects across the UK for the past forty years and we want to continue that success by expanding our presence with the opening in Nottingham.

“We are committed to employing on-site staff, which helps add a personal touch to our team and nurtures our usual commitment to excellence for all of our customers.”

Today the company employs around 75 people.
