Eight areas left in free workshops supporting Horsham district companies by way of pandemic

Horsham District Council has partnered with Solent University and Chichester College Group to support local consulting firms that would normally cost delegates hundreds of pounds.

The bespoke online sessions are completely free, however there are only eight places left and the application deadline is Friday, February 12th.

Commenting on the guidance, Paul Clarke, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Finance, Local Business and Park Council, said, “I am delighted that we have partnered with two of these leading educational institutions to provide this vital advice to local businesses at this difficult time .

“These consultations are free and provide just the right development and insight into skills, as well as the opportunity to discuss new business models and emerging trends on the high street.

“I would encourage as many local dealers as possible to register before the deadline and take advantage of the benefits.”

The training workshops last through March 2021 and can cover a wide range of business skills and be tailored to specific needs and circumstances.

They can include the following topics:

– Open and work safely in the event of a pandemic

– Access to financial aid

– Establishment of an online trading presence

– Marketing and advertisement

– Ensure that new business models work effectively

– Get the best value from suppliers.

These workshops are part of an innovative new program called Horsham Market Towns Program (HMTP), which focuses on enabling businesses to adapt to changing trading conditions and is safely funded entirely by the EU’s Elevated Roads Reopening Fund
