The editor of a business publication for a regional publisher is leaving his position for a new job in public relations.

Glasgow public relations consultancy Hollicom has announced the appointment of Scottish Business Insider editor Ken Symon as associate director.

Ken, pictured, had held the Reach title since 2016.

He previously worked as a business editor for both the Sunday Herald and The Scotsman.

During his career, Ken also worked as an investigative reporter for the Glasgow Evening Times, where he won a UK press award for his work on Poll Tax.

He will lead Hollicom’s business-to-business division and also work with the executive team on business development

Ken said, “I am excited to join Hollicom as it expands and works to better serve its customers in what remains a very challenging time for many companies.

“I look forward to working in a highly creative team to advise companies as they confront the problems and opportunities of working in the ‘new normal’ as we emerge from the pandemic.”
