DTE Enterprise Advisers promotes duo in Bury workplace to Supervisor
Jonathan Yip and Jonathan Harris have been promoted to managers at DTE Business Advisers. The duo are based in Bury and serve SMEs in a variety of sectors in the North West of England.
Fiona O’Loughlin, Director and Head of Audit in the Bury office of DTE Business Advisers said: “Both Jonathan Harris and Jonathan Yip have shown remarkable resilience and adapted quickly to the new way of working [during the Covid-19 pandemic]. DTE is an independent service company based in the north west of England. Headquartered in Manchester, the company provides auditing, tax, forensic and financial planning services in Bury, Bolton, Rochdale and the rest of the North West.
Over the past year, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has had to adjust the way the company works and supports customers in many ways, and Yip and Harris have both been exemplary celebrations in that regard.
Harris said on the news, “I am very excited to take on this new role within DTE … [Where] I have gained experience in accounting and auditing, management accounts, bookkeeping and taxation, as well as in companies engaged in various services. This has helped me understand the needs and requirements of our customers and have built strong relationships over the years. I’m looking forward to the challenges and experiences that lie ahead of me … “
Harris joined DTE seven years ago as a trainee after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Lancaster University. At the same time, Yip worked for three years as an Audit Executive in Hong Kong for the global professional services company Mazars before moving to the UK in 2016 and joining DTE. In their new role as Audit Manager, both experts will continue to work closely with clients to support them with their needs, oversee the audit fieldwork and oversee the training of juniors.
As Yip considered his promotion, he said, “I am very excited to take on this new role in DTE. With 8 years of auditing and accounting experience in small to publicly traded companies, this new position gives me the opportunity to work more closely with our clients and give them the full support they need as many global challenges are growing pandemic.
The final appointment will come after DTE’s appointment of Derek Armstrong as a partner in February 2021.
