"It's more important than ever to celebrate friendship and those who help us stay true to ourselves and others," said Kareem Daniel, president of Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing. "As families around the world watch Disney to add magic to their daily lives, this campaign underscores the lasting ties between Mickey and his friends and invites fans to share their exciting adventures and iconic friendships."

Being loyal, creating memories and making each other laugh are just a few of the ways Mickey and his friends have stayed true to each other for almost a century.

Historian Brian Sibley analyzed over 600 hours of Disney films, short films and featurettes with the Sensational Six to highlight the story of this legendary group of friends and show what it takes to make lifelong friends.

The analysis showed that loyalty is the number one trait that passes the friendship test of the time, with the six friends steadfastly supporting each other. Sharing similar interests and adventures is also important, and laughing is really the best medicine if the characters find ways to laugh together no matter what.

Other important traits found in the characters' lasting friendships are taking time for each other, being honest when necessary, and being thoughtful.

The top 10 traits that are the key to lifelong friendship, according to 90 years of Disney stories, are loyalty (as Pluto is always with Mickey Mouse's side), honesty (whether that's what they want to hear or not that are Sensational Six) always honest with everyone else), kindness (like Donald who takes on an extra job to pay for a big date with Daisy), understanding for mistakes (whether it's Donald's liveliness or Goofy's stupidity, friends always forgive each other for the mistakes) and common interests (like Mickey Mouse and Pluto's love of fishing).

In addition to considering differences (whether you're cheeky like Daisy or happy like Pluto), supporting ambitions (like Mickey Mouse's lifelong support for Minnie Mouse's career paths), shared sense of humor (whether you always are) laughing like Mickey Mouse or being a comedian like Goofy), taking time for each other (a longstanding topic at Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse) and being thoughtful (how birthday surprises the Sensational Six plan for each other each year).
