Mediaworks Leeds aims to more than double its number of employees from the current 20 members.

Due to the close ties to local universities and colleges, a recruiting initiative for creative talents is being developed through a graduate program, according to Mediaworks.

Gill Ball, Managing Partner at Mediaworks Leeds, said: “We want to maintain our existing relationships with universities and colleges in and around the region to find exciting new talent.

“This is an integral part of Mediaworks Leeds’ vision and our quest to find the best creative minds to drive the growth of the brands we work with.

“Our rapid growth means that we are also looking for larger space in the city – this is an important step in laying the foundation for a very exciting future for Mediaworks here in Leeds.”

The agency, with offices in Newcastle, Edinburgh and London, expanded to Leeds last year and recently announced an expansion of its operations in Scotland. The team in their new Edinburgh office will be expanded to include five more members.

The Leeds operations originally opened after Mediaworks teamed up with seasoned former agency directors. In the first year it worked with the likes of York St John University and Dowsing & Reynolds.

Brett Jacobson, CEO and Founder of Mediaworks, said: “The Leeds team has accelerated growth over the past year, working with some of the UK’s best-known names. His quality brand and creative strategy work has proven to be an invaluable addition to our current range of services. “
