Dettol works with the football association to improve hygiene

Dettol is providing its expertise to the Football Association to help the football community feel reassured about hygiene when they return to watch the game they love

Dettol has been announced as the official sanitary partner of the English senior football teams for men and women, Wembley Stadium, which is linked by EE, the broader grassroots game and St. George’s Park. Working with the Football Association (FA) to strengthen good hygiene habits at all levels of the game.

Good hygiene practices have never been more important to football in the face of the current pandemic. The brand will share its expertise with The Football Association to help the football community feel reassured about hygiene when they return to watch the game they love.

Over 17,000 grassroots clubs and 1.4 million players participating in affiliated football have access to educational materials and a wide range of Dettol’s hygiene products. Dettol will work closely with the Wembley Stadium team to develop new cleaning protocols for the stadium that will support the return of fans whenever possible. Similar hygiene practices are also being introduced at the FA’s training facility in St. George’s Park to support hygiene practices for the country’s elite male and female footballers. Dettol will also work with The FA to provide improved hygiene guidance.

Dettol’s soccer campaign begins ahead of the Three Lions’ first international game in 2021 against San Marino on March 25th at Wembley Stadium, which will be joined by EE. The grassroots campaign begins when the clubs in England play games again.
