Copper Consultancy names Tom Morrison as Northern Technique Director

Tom Morrison, Strategy Director North of England, Copper Consultancy

Tom Morrison has been named the new Strategy Director of the Northern English wing of Copper Consultancy. The news comes as the company announces a series of internal promotions.

Commenting on his arrival, Morrison said, “I am very excited to join Copper and look forward to expanding our existing projects in the north. The Covid-19 economic recovery needs to focus on strengthening infrastructure and leveling the North – and I look forward to helping Copper customers make those arguments at all levels of government. “

Prior to joining Copper Consultancy, Morrison had a diverse career in research, communications and local government. This included four years as Liberal Democrat councilor for Church Ward in Liverpool before becoming an Account Director at Remarkable Engagement. Most recently, he was Associate Director at the Built Environment Communications Group, based in Manchester. With extensive experience in infrastructure, development and utilities, Morrison will now lead Copper’s expansion and support for major projects across the north of England.

Founded 25 years ago, Copper Consultancy is committed to providing strategic communications to help clients develop economic and social infrastructure – including numerous multinational corporations and international investors looking to invest in infrastructure in the UK. Despite the impact of the coronavirus on the UK economy, the company managed to increase its revenue by around 30% from 2020 while increasing its workforce in a similar manner.

The latest executive hiring was made possible by its successful growth in the first half of 2021. News also follows that Copper Consultancy has internally promoted a number of employees. These include Allan Fatah and Tom Warren joining account directors and Laura Cunliffe-Hall, Lucia Maclachlan and Zak Reid joining senior account managers.

Coppers Managing Partner Ben Heatley stated, “The strategic appointments and promotions we have made will further strengthen our leadership team. Our strong talent pool will be critical in helping clients meet their goals and manage the risks they face and contribute to Copper’s continued success. It was made possible by what has been an extremely successful year to date with continuous growth throughout the company, including the introduction of our special creative services and our branded offering. “
