Consultancy relocates to Leeds metropolis centre | Yorkshire Property Information

Advice moves to Leeds city center

An energy, engineering and sustainability consultancy has moved its Yorkshire office to new premises in Leeds.

Hydrock has leased around 3,100 m² of space in Riverside West on Whitehall Road in the city center for ten years.

The offices on the first floor, overlooking the River Aire, were previously occupied by RBA Associates, who have now moved to larger offices on the fourth floor. This enabled landlord Bradbury Executive Trust to undertake a major overhaul of the office with new air conditioning, new ceiling tiles, LED lighting, modern toilets and a complete renovation.

Fox Lloyd Jones brokered the deal and offered a full moving service to Hydrock, which has moved from Wetherby.

John McElwee, Executive Director of Hydrock, said, “This is an exciting move as we continue to consolidate our offering geographically in high performing cities across the UK.

“With this move, we can network even more closely with the real estate market in the region, which we will continue to support with integrated engineering and, in particular, offer our customers solutions that help them anchor sustainability and the energy transition in their real estate portfolios.

“There is tremendous development in the county, especially around Leeds, so it made a lot of sense to move to the city to be closer to our customers and to be on the ‘thick of it’.”

Richard Boothroyd, Landlord, Bradbury Executive Trust added, “Hydrock has been involved in high profile projects across the country and we are proud to have them as tenants in Leeds City Center will help raise its profile with developers and influential institutions sharpen.”

Harry Finney, Senior Surveyor at Fox Lloyd Jones, said, “The office remains an integral part of the Hydrock business and we hope that this significant increase in office space will help them continually improve and prosper.”
