Coca-Cola is a partner of #BeApp on livestream performances by 100 artists

Put on hold for the foreseeable future with concerts and festivals Coke Company, a winner of the World Branding Awards, is helping to keep live music alive through collaboration #BeApp, a new live streaming platform.

Starting May 14, Coke Studio Sessions will present intimate live streams from 100 artists' homes around the world on 60 consecutive days – including Katy Perry, Anitta, DJ Khaled, Bebe Rexha, Miguel, the cast of Hamilton and Steve Aoki .

Three performances per day are broadcast on #BeApp at 7 p.m. ET, which can be downloaded for free on iOS or Android devices, as well as the Coca-Cola Youtube Channel. #BeApp will also broadcast performances within 24 hours for those around the world who couldn't see them live.

"Coca-Cola remains committed to strengthening the human mind and promoting connection while we are separated in these unprecedented times," said Ricardo Fort, VP, Global Sports & Entertainment at The Coca-Cola Company. "By providing 60 days of live, interactive music content that fans can share and enjoy, we hope that Coke Studio Sessions will provide small daily moments of entertainment as we adapt to this new normal."

During the 60-day program, fans have the opportunity to donate to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to support COVID-19's relief efforts. The Coca-Cola Foundation, which has donated more than $ 14 million / £ 11.5 million in charitable grants to Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world in response to COVID-19, will raise up to $ 3 million / £ 2.4m raised consumer donations through Coke Studio Sessions.

Coke Studio Sessions marks the debut of #BeApp, which creates a global virtual living room by bringing performances and unique musical moments from the world's most popular artists directly into the homes of fans. The free app also offers impressive experiences at concerts or festivals and adds a playful social level to live streaming, where fans can interact, shop, donate and get in touch with artists.

"#BeApp was developed for digital connection through a shared love of live music, and people need this connection now more than ever," said Ray Smith, who founded #BeApp with Ross Mason, a technology industry veteran. "We are delighted to have Coca-Cola as our exclusive launch partner when we introduce #BeApp to fans around the world."

The platform's nuanced features include an in-app sharing component that allows fans to invite others to join them during the live stream, and the ability to earn money through interaction and sharing to use them for seat upgrades in the first row to redeem (including have) the photo and name of the user that are visible to the viewer), artist shout-outs and # BeApp Swag.

Coca-Cola had spoken to #BeApp in the months leading up to the outbreak of the coronavirus, but the collaboration changed when the restrictions on on-site protection came into force.

"The idea that led to Coke Studio Sessions was born long before it was blocked. Fortunately, we were able to respond quickly and set up the program with #BeApp in a few weeks," said Fort. "We are excited to offer such incredible music content and experiences who we know that Coca-Cola fans around the world are thirsty in this period of isolation and insecurity, and look forward to seeing what the future of our partnership with #BeApp will bring. ”

Live streaming concerts have become an integral part of entertainment during COVID-19. Independent artists and big stars send sets to social media quarantined fans at home. #BeApp offers a single destination for a full menu of both scheduled live streams and archived content.

"There were many great opportunities for fans to follow intimate appearances, but keep track of what happened and when it was a challenge," said Fort. "One thing we do is summarize these experiences and the content present in a way that is both user-friendly and consistent. Coke Studio Sessions is a 60-day program so fans know where to find three new live streams each day. ”
