Cardinal Global Logistics hails MEN Business Awards triumphs

The CEO of an ever-expanding logistics company in Manchester celebrated the company’s last two MEN Business Awards – as this year’s deadline for submissions approaches.

Brian Hay said the awards “celebrate our business success, but most importantly, the good work that Cardinal Global Logistics is doing locally to strengthen its relationships with communities.” Cardinal triumphed in the awards up to £ 10million in 2002 – and in the £ 50m to £ 100million category in 2018.

Earlier this month we relaunched the MEN Business Awards and reopened the entry period for a limited time and for a select number of categories.

That meant postponing the date of our famous awards show, whose main sponsors are Brewin Dolphin, Robert Walters, PwC, CMS and LDC; with category sponsors Bolton School.

The prestigious event, which was supposed to take place on November 18, 2021, will now take place on April 7, 2022.

The four reopened categories are:

  • Headquarters outside Greater Manchester Sales £ 100m + sponsored by CMS
  • Sales over £ 100m sponsored by PwC
  • Sales £ 50m – £ 100m sponsored by Robert Walters
  • Sales £ 25m – £ 50m sponsored by Brewin Dolphin

Earlier this year, CEO Hay urged employees to grow the company for £ 200 million in sales by 2022.

The company also recently announced a “strategic investment” in an Australian freight forwarder.

Cardinal Global Logistics currently has 10 regional branches and 12 foreign bases.

Mr. Hay said: “As Cardinal Global Logistics grew, we participated in the MEN Business Awards, our first prize in the up to 10 million annual prize category in 2018.

This year the MEN Business Awards are fortunate to have five main sponsors. The companies sponsoring the awards are:
