C4DI business centre to open in Northallerton next month

Hambleton’s new business center, C4DI, opens in May with the district’s annual conference.

Hambleton Business Week, which is open to delegates from across the district as well as from other areas, will take place virtually in the new center from May 11-13.

On the first day, the £ 2.3million center, located in the Treadmills Development of the Northallerton District Council, will officially open.

The digital hub, designed to help tech companies grow and innovate traditional agriculture, food processing and digital companies, is unique in the way it does traditional companies with fast-paced tech startups and scale-ups through tailor-made innovation programs and startup incubation.

The aim is to give the traditional company access to skills and expertise and to give technology companies unrivaled access to the supply chain and mentors.

The Northallerton hub will operate alongside the original Hull C4DI, which has more than 350 members.

The 2021 business conference on May 12th will focus on growing the Hambleton economy through digital technology to power major highways, market towns and traditional businesses. There will be insights into sustainable supply chains and the circular economy and how they can boost business.

After the launch of C4DI on May 11th, Kate Hardcastle MBE will deliver a keynote address on the ‘Digital High Street’ on day two.

Kate, who leads the team at consulting firm Insight with Passion, is also a television presenter and commentator, best known as a customer whisperer.

On May 12th, Amanda Lindsay from the personnel consultancy 2hbr will also speak, which will hold a session on “Change and resistance to change” in the workplace. and Matthew Hopkinson of Didobi, who will provide national insights into change on the high street and the future of technology.

“C4DI is an exciting new endeavor for the county council and is already attracting a lot of interest from companies looking to join us to become members,” said council chairman Mark Robson.

“The conference will bring many of them together and provide some amazing meetings from business leaders – learn from experts and make new contacts.

“We look forward to building some great companies together in Hambleton. We are the perfect place to do just that.”

The treadmill program is operated by Central Northallerton Development Company Ltd. (a joint venture between Hambleton District Council and Wykeland Group) with additional funding from the York and North Yorkshire local corporate partnership provided by the government’s local growth fund.
