Broad Horizon buys undertaking administration consultancy Projectum

Broad Horizon buys the project management consultancy Projectum

Within a few months of landing in Denmark, Broad Horizon has increased its domestic presence with the acquisition of Projectum.

The 50-person Projektum, based in Søborg, specializes in project and portfolio management. In addition to its consulting services, the company has a number of proprietary project solutions developed on the Microsoft Power platform.

Projectum was founded in 2004 by Peter Kestenholz and Carsten Nilsson. After a few years of growth, we had reached a stage where we needed a bigger cog to take the company to the next level, Kestenholz explained. With more depth in project management, a broader portfolio and additional investments in technology, Projectum is better positioned to compete with the larger project management consultancies in Denmark and the Nordic countries.

This is where Broad Horizon comes in. The Netherlands-based professional services company employs almost 500 people in six European countries. The company specializes in IT consulting and technology services and also has an area for consulting, data analysis and IT managed services.

In Denmark, the Dutch group was already present in the form of a delegate that it took over in September last year and the two Danish companies will now merge to build a stronger Danish company with around 180 employees.

“So it makes sense to become part of the Broad Horizon family and work closely with the delegate. Together we are very strong, complement each other and will be an even more attractive workplace for talented colleagues and a strong partner for our customers and partners, ”said Kestenholz.

Johan Taams, CEO of Broad Horizon, commented: “Projectum and Delegate together form a strong foundation for the company’s further journey. We have great expectations for the Nordic market in general and with Projectum on board we also have the opportunity to strengthen our position in the international project management space. We look forward to seeing how things develop. ”

The CEO of Delegate and Head of Nordics at Broad Horizon, Jakob Schou, welcomed Projectum to the company and said: “We have bought into a company that has extremely strong expertise.” Project Partner of the Year from Microsoft and has been a finalist every year since 2015.

In addition, “We have the same values and ambitions to be a fantastic place to work and offer excellent customer service – and continue to grow in the process. The joint management team aims to grow the company without compromising the close and personal atmosphere that is a cornerstone of both companies – this also applies to future acquisitions. “
